Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is a Mexican musician who was born into a musical family. Her early years were shaped by classical music, boleros and the traditional romantic, ranchero, and romance ballads. Ana is passionate about tangos and opera, along with any dramatic performance. She started singing and studying songs with her mother she began her more intensive training in singing at the age of 16 with renowned Mexican tenor Flavio Becerra. In the School of Music of Guadalajara University and the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico furthered her education in music. Her early professional career included performances with a variety of chamber ensembles and opera choruses and chamber groups in Guadalajara. After moving into the United States, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. In 2002, she made her way to Southern California. She sings with Ensemble XXI Redlands, and is a performer of Latin American traditional music solo at many private events. She is involved with many local projects in both teaching and performer because of her enthusiasm for music and arts. Ana was a former participant in the Community Chorus of Redlands (as being a member of the Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana loves to sing traditional Latin American songs and hopes that she can inspire others to do the same.
